Dr Sam Kamperis FIMA MBCS is a mathematician who specialises in data science. He is a fellow of the IMA (Institute of Mathematics and its Applications) and a member of the BCS (Chartered Institute for IT).
Sam is a senior lecturer at Oxford Brookes University and the widening participation coordinator for the School of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics. In this role he coordinates all the outreach activities in these disciplines with school children. This includes organising:
Sam sits on BCS Oxfordshire Branch Committee and works to strengthen the ties between the branch and Oxford Brookes University.
Sam is a frequent participant of mathematics study groups and is a moderator of the Maths in Industry Reports repository.
Sam's doctoral thesis is titled "Enumeration of Polyhedral Graphs", which he claims is a fancy way of saying "I make computers draw triangles!"
